The DMIL Model, a unified framework for digital, media, and information literacy, aims to meet the new literacy needs of Jamaicans and a wider Caribbean audience who are influenced by media and technology evolutions. It includes competencies such as computer literacy, ICT literacy, information literacy, and media literacy. The model provides a reference standard for curriculum development, assessment, and occupational standards for digital skills in the workplace. It aligns education, training, and skills development efforts to protect and enhance the welfare of Jamaicans in a globalised knowledge society.
